Maya Silver: Concept Artist & Illustrator

I'm Maya, an illustrator from North Attleboro, Massachusetts, and a true New Englander at heart. I studied illustration at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Atlanta, Georgia. I started creating art before I could even spell my name, even drew a self-portrait before I should’ve had that level of self-recognition and it freaked my mother out! But from there, I was self-taught until college. I love creature design, capturing emotions, making narrative pieces, as well as involving frogs in any way if I can using my own brush textures.
I like to create illustrations that focus on storytelling, atmosphere, and highly rendered
visuals, with the goal of making pieces that feel immersive and emotionally engaging.
I’m drawn to imaginative and expressive ideas, and I usually start with a clear concept
that I stick with and develop through detail and refinement. I tend to work more
intuitively rather than focusing on technical ideas, like what color to use or how I might
light it. I enjoy building scenes that feel interesting and impactful and creating art that
can evoke different emotions.
